This digital archive investigates the historical and technical facets of the Berlin Wall. As part of a university project, this archive reconstructs the pdivide of a city through narrative mapping and visual comparison, preserving the memory of a border that defined an era.

1961 – 1989

Mapping the lifespan of the Berlin Wall from the initial securing of the borders to the historic events of November 9, 1989. This interactive model combines archival photography, news broadcasts, and primary sources using the TimelineJS framework for an interactive educational experience.
